Category Development Manager

About the Role

Due to our recent growth, we currently have an opportunity for a highly motivated professional to join our sales team based in Richlands.  Reporting to the Head of Domestic Sales, this role will suit a customer focused, strategic and analytical thinker with a FMCG background.

The success of this role will be measured by the effect on overall sales results, and the subsequent sales and market share growth within the marketplace.

Duties and Responsibilities

Review AC Nielson and AZTEC data – providing timely market insights to support the sales team

Drive sustainable, profitable growth for Capilano and its customers through development and execution of category led initiatives

Analyse and interpret monthly sales results and assist the sales team to highlight key issues and opportunities

Be the category expert/leader for our key customers providing them with actionable insight that drives category growth and delivers on the agreed strategic imperatives

Assist Account Managers to ensure alignment and agreement of volume forecasts

Assist in achievement of budget & positive category results through recommendations made;

Skills and Experience

First class communication and numeracy skills

Must have prior experience in FMCG, and understand associated processes and compliance

Must have a working understanding of either AC Nielsen or AZTEC dataPossess excellent attention to detail

Effectively communicate and influence key stakeholdersBachelors Degree - Qualified in Business, Marketing or related
