We only work with Australia’s best beekeeping families, who follow our strict quality standards for the extraction of their pure, delicious Australian honey. We are proud to say that the Capilano you’ll find on your favourite supermarket shelves has been stringently tested for adulteration and thoroughly quality checked before it leaves our site, so you can be confident that you are enjoying only 100% pure, natural Australian honey.

Our Promise

Our commitment to quality is evidenced by the fact that all Capilano production facilities have Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) certification and meet British Retail Consortium (BRC) Global Standards. Both independent accreditations are audited annually and Illustrate a compliance to quality and globally recognised food safety standards that far surpasses that required by a backyard honey extraction operations or other, less-accredited honey packers.

Our Testing

To ensure that all Capilano products contain only 100% pure Australian honey, we use independent, world leading laboratories to test Capilano honey for adulteration. By doing so, consumers can have absolute confidence that when they choose Capilano, they are choosing 100% pure Australian honey.

Further evidence of Capilano’s commitment to quality excellence can be found in our SciTest laboratory – a state of the art laboratory commissioned by Capilano which is the only one of its kind in Australasia. Working with Government, regulatory bodies and commercial laboratories, SciTest ensures accuracy and maintains best practice compliance for our analytical methods in testing honey for microbial and chemical residues, enabling Capilano to provide unparalleled quality assurances to our customers.

Our Packaging

All Capilano packaging is proudly BPA Free.

Capilano are signatories to the Australian Packaging Covenant plan which aims to reduce the impact of packaging on the Australian environment. We actively look for opportunities to reduce our packaging waste along with optimising packaging for the most sustainable and environmentally friendly outcomes.

But we don't stop there. Our commitment to environmental sustainability is demonstrated via two of our three production facilities now working with solar energy. Our Maryborough, VIC, site was the latest conversion to Solar Power , which Is anticipated to reduce the site’s carbon emissions by close to 50%!
